Landed an AiRBAG Backflip!

Over the weekend we setup a free-fall event at the Miller Snow Compound in Mendota Heights, MN. We used a 40 foot scissor lift to raise us (and friends!) into the air, then jumped and landed safely on the 50×50 foot U.S. AiRBAG (Steezebag model) below. We had a semi-pro BMX team there killing it as well, which combined with a perfectly blue and sunny day made for a perfect Saturday afternoon!

In this video, I’m holding a GoPRO camera at my face as I do a backflip from the scissor lift. It turns out that I landed the flip perfectly on my feet and never sat down or fell over into the U.S. AiRBAG… Who woulda thought???

Red Bull Crashed Ice in Dt St. Paul

A spectacular next generation event, no question about it. RedBull killed it with Crashed Ice, basically turning downtown Saint Paul into their venue and the cathedral of Saint Paul in their stage.

Hani and I thought of doing this before he left for Tanzania, finally got around to editing it. We approached this in an interesting way… Not quite a stop-motion flick because the images are actually brief video clips. This becomes apparent at the end, when you can see the dust particles continuing to move while settling instead of jerking around like stop-motion…

Weekend at the Lake!

A video from our Como instructors weekend trip to Benoit Lake in Wisconsin! We headed out on friday afternoon, and came across a drive-thru liquor store that we couldn’t pass by. I never thought it was possible to be served beer through a drive through window, but i guess you never know in wisconsin do ya!

New Drobo!

Thanks to The Foundation in Minneapolis we got our new Drobo S configured and ready to power through High Definition video like nothing else! These 3 Enterprise class 2 Tb HDs will serve as the Capture Scratch for our Final Cut Pro 7 system.

Our editing system is now in full gear. For the creatives out there looking for a good secure external hard drive solution you should check out www.drobo.com. They are a bit on the spendy side, but worth it in the long run…. Cheers!
